Diffondiamo l\u2019appello rivolto all\u2019Universit\u00e0 Tsinghua di Pechino a favore di Xu Zhangrun, illustre docente di Diritto di tale ateneo, che \u00e8 stato sospeso dall\u2019insegnamento in seguito alle critiche da lui rivolte all\u2019autoritarismo di Xi Jinping, e in particolare alla sua attribuzione di un mandato a vita. L\u2019appello raccoglie le adesioni della comunit\u00e0 accademica internazionale ed \u00e8 aperto fino al 19 aprile 2019.<\/p>\n

Dear President Qiu,<\/p>\n

Tsinghua University, one of the most highly ranked universities in the world, has suffered severe damage to its academic reputation as a consequence of the university\u2019s punishment of Professor Xu Zhangrun.<\/p>\n

As members of the international academic community, we urge the university to restore Professor Xu\u2019s normal status in the university, including his teaching and research duties, and to refrain from any further sanctions against him.<\/p>\n
