Confucio incontra Socrate ad Atene: i paradossi del presente

E’ un formidabile coup de theatre quello che si è messo in scena ad Atene il 16 settembre, nella solenne cerimonia inaugurale dell’Anno del Turismo e della Cultura Cina-Grecia: i ministri greci della Cultura e del Turismo, Lina Mendoni e Vassilios Kikilias, insieme a Wang Qiang, incaricato ad interim dell’ambasciata cinese in Grecia, hanno svelato due imponenti sculture di bronzo raffiguranti il dialogo/incontro di Confucio e Socrate, opera del celebre artista Wu Weishan, direttore del Museo Nazionale della Cina.
Si rimane, una volta di più, stupiti e ammirati dalla straordinaria capacità della leadership della RPC – superbamente incurante della “fine delle Grandi Narrazioni” proclamata forse un po’ troppo affrettatamente un po’ di tempo fa da ben note retoriche post-moderne – di mettere sapientemente in scena la propria trionfale Grande Narrazione imperiale intorno alla gloria spirituale della Sinità Millenaria, e di farvi risonare intorno intense suggestioni dialogiche e universalistiche, echi della jaspersiana età assiale, proprio nel luogo in cui l’acquisto del Pireo rappresenta l’ennesimo successo materiale nella strategia cinese di espansione economica e geopolitica planetaria.
Paradossi del presente: c’è chi i monumenti li erige fieramente, e chi invece li rovescia o li distrugge; e chi li erige, dichiarando perenne devozione al passato, è al contempo promotore di una trasformazione turbocapitalistica che equivale a un vertiginoso sconvolgimento tellurico del tianxia, ossia di tutto quanto sotto il cielo. E, paradosso ulteriore, coloro che oggi erigono fieramente i monumenti sono gli eredi di coloro che cinquant’anni fa preconizzavano la distruzione di ogni “detestabile residuo feudale”….
Ci vorrebbe un cantastorie come Bertolt Brecht per raccontare questi paradossi, e magari per proporci, anziché un inno sonoro, o una marcia trionfale e magniloquente, un’altra musica possibile, una ballata picaresca del tipo di quella di “Jenny dei pirati”: insomma una canzoncina sottovoce, certo meno eclatante e suggestiva ma forse più
imprevedibile, che ci narri le avventure di un Confucio errante, un po’ alla maniera di Don Chisciotte, profeta disarmato, “re senza corona” e senza piedistallo.
