Appello a favore di Xu Zhangrun dell’Università cinese Tsinghua
Diffondiamo l’appello rivolto all’Università Tsinghua di Pechino a favore di Xu Zhangrun, illustre docente di Diritto di tale ateneo, che è stato sospeso dall’insegnamento in seguito alle critiche da lui rivolte all’autoritarismo di Xi Jinping, e in particolare alla sua attribuzione di un mandato a vita. L’appello raccoglie le adesioni della comunità accademica internazionale ed è aperto fino al 19 aprile 2019.

Dear President Qiu,
Tsinghua University, one of the most highly ranked universities in the world, has suffered severe damage to its academic reputation as a consequence of the university’s punishment of Professor Xu Zhangrun.
As members of the international academic community, we urge the university to restore Professor Xu’s normal status in the university, including his teaching and research duties, and to refrain from any further sanctions against him.
